Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Apple’s Customer Systems team within IS&T builds the technology powering global customer support, including the Genius Bar and AppleCare platforms. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in India, you will design and deliver scalable, secure cloud infrastructure while implementing automation and intelligent monitoring. This on-site role supports billions of transactions across Apple's vast ecosystem.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and deliver highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure
• Implement new solutions by working closely with cross-functional teams and business leaders
• Utilize infrastructure as code, automation, and intelligent monitoring tools
• Troubleshoot network, system, and performance issues during on-call rotations
• Build automation tools to deliver infrastructure services reliably and repeatably
• Collaborate with distributed teams to define and implement non-functional requirements

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years designing resilient, large-scale cloud/on-prem infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Network)
• 5+ years deploying/managing Kubernetes using Helm or Kustomize
• 3+ years monitoring with Splunk, ELK stack, Grafana, Prometheus, or Alertmanager
• 3+ years Linux Shell Scripting, Python, and Terraform experience

Nice to have

• Experience with Cloud architecture and Infrastructure as Code
• Setting up CI/CD pipelines with GitOps model
• Knowledge of networking protocols (DNS, TCP, HTTP/HTTPS)
• Familiarity with Cassandra, MongoDB, Couchbase, or AWS S3
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
