Senior Manager, Quality

About the role

Senior Manager, Quality at Cubic leads quality assurance across multiple programs in India, partnering with the US Lead Quality Manager. The role drives compliance with contractual and enterprise quality standards, including ISO 9000, ISO 27001, AS9100, and SOC. Responsibilities include developing quality plans, managing audit execution, overseeing supplier performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The manager leads a quality department, monitors metrics, and ensures alignment with product development, manufacturing, and field services. They also support supply chain activities, coordinate corrective actions, and report to the Director of QA. The position requires strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, and the ability to manage cross‑functional teams. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least ten years of quality assurance experience, with a preference for a master’s degree and experience in SDLC, CMMI assessments, and CAPA processes.

What you’ll do

• Direct compliance with quality contractual requirements and program objectives.
• Manage audit planning and execution across programs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 27001, AS9100, SOC standards.
• Monitor performance of Quality Department and program goals.
• Recommend and monitor process improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate supplier performance and oversee CAPA actions.
• Establish process metrics for monitoring effectiveness.
• Address customer quality issues and corrective actions.
• Implement continuous process improvements in quality-related processes.
• Support design review, pre‑production, production, test, inspection, customer service.
• Interface with product development, manufacturing, field services, and sub‑contractors.
• Deputize for Director of QA when required.
• Support supply chain management and coordinate corrective actions.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years in quality assurance and staff management.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong SDLC experience and SW quality principles.
• Experience with CMMI level assessments.
• Hands‑on experience with SW/HW product development, CAPA, and sub‑contract management.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001/ISO 20000/ISO 27001/SOC standards.
• Ability to work individually and in teams across all organization levels.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

Master’s degree preferred.
