About the role

Bank of America's Global Business Services (Global Finance / FCPS team) seeks an Assistant Manager Business Analyst to document detailed business requirements for regulatory reporting and general ledger operations across US, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. Day-to-day work includes capturing change requirements, mapping current and target state processes, defining data sourcing needs, writing JIRAs and functional specs aligned to the GRIFFIN & AXIOM platforms, collaborating with technology and test teams through sprint planning and UAT, and supporting regression and deployment readiness. The role is based in Gurugram or Mumbai with a 11:30 am to 8:30 pm schedule.

What you’ll do

  • Understand the Regulatory Change and document detailed requirements, including functional capabilities, workflow needs, business rules, reporting requirements, and timelines; collaborate with users an
  • Identify current state processes and define the target state scope, objective, and business outcomes of the program/project.
  • Identify data sourcing requirements, document them, and coordinate with relevant teams.
  • Understand the in-house GRIFFIN & AXIOM design and document functional specifications in conjunction with the business requirements.
  • Create high-quality JIRAs documenting all critical aspects including business requirements, mapping requirements, and acceptance criteria using BAC enterprise change management templates.
  • Create process maps or operating models where necessary.
  • Walk through requirements with Technology and participate in sprint planning along with the Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with test teams to set expectations from a Quality or User Acceptance Testing perspective and perform regression before every code release into production.

What you’ll bring

  • Graduate degree in Commerce, Business, or Technology.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst in technology implementation projects, including writing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • Extremely strong knowledge of EMEA regulatory reports (COREP, Finrep, AnaCredit, ESG, etc.) and strong knowledge of financial concepts.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and break them down into process components.
  • Strong knowledge of creating process maps.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills to build rapport, respect, and trust with key stakeholders.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with problem-solving capabilities, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good with numbers.
