About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer designs, implements, and optimizes manufacturing processes within an automotive environment in Pune, MH, IN. Day-to-day work includes developing production workflows and equipment layouts, resolving shop-floor process and quality issues, applying lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to integrate new products. The role also ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate process documentation.
What you’ll do
- Develop and improve production workflows, layouts, and equipment utilization to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Provide technical support to resolve process-related issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality concerns on the shop floor
- Apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive process improvements and cost savings
- Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to integrate new products, including tooling, process validation, and documentation
- Ensure all manufacturing processes meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate documentation including work instructions, process flows, and engineering change notices
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience
- 3+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing systems, process engineering, and industrial automation
- Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Capability to manage multiple engineering projects, coordinate resources, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for working with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams
