Territory Manager, Soft Tissue Implants

About the role

Medtronic's Soft Tissue Implants (STI) team develops products for soft tissue repair and reinforcement, including sutures and hernia repair solutions, to support surgeons and improve patient outcomes. The Territory Manager drives commercial performance and customer engagement across a designated Mumbai territory by growing the STI portfolio through surgeon and hospital stakeholder relationships, combining sales execution, clinical support, account management, and therapy education. The role is remote/field-based with regular travel (approximately 30-40%) to hospitals, healthcare facilities, customer meetings, training programmes, and surgical case support activities.

What you’ll do

  • Achieve territory sales objectives for the Soft Tissue Implants portfolio, including sutures and hernia solutions, through effective territory planning and execution
  • Develop and maintain relationships with surgeons, operating room staff, nursing teams, hospital administrators, and purchasing stakeholders within assigned accounts
  • Provide clinical support and surgical case coverage, including product demonstrations, therapy education, and procedural support as required
  • Identify opportunities to expand business within existing accounts and drive conversion of competitive accounts across the territory
  • Deliver product and therapy training programmes for new and existing healthcare facilities to support safe and effective product use
  • Execute territory business plans, monitor sales performance, and maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline to achieve revenue growth targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer requirements, account development activities, and business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable company policies, quality standards, customer engagement requirements, and healthcare industry regulations

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Pharmacy
  • 4+ years of medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related sales experience
  • Experience managing hospital-based accounts and engaging with healthcare professionals to drive product adoption and account growth
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets within an assigned territory
  • Ability to travel approximately 30-40% within the assigned Mumbai territory and provide on-site customer and clinical support
  • Ability to conduct product presentations, customer education sessions, and clinical discussions with healthcare stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting surgeons and clinical teams in the operating room during surgical procedures
  • Knowledge of soft tissue repair products, implantable devices, hernia repair solutions, sutures, biologics, or related surgical technologies
  • Experience providing procedural support, case coverage, and clinical training within a hospital environment
  • Understanding of hospital procurement processes, product evaluations, tender processes, and value analysis pathways
  • Experience identifying and developing referral networks and high-value healthcare accounts within the assigned territory
