About the role
A partner company seeks a Principal Engineer in India to lead scalable full-stack development using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular. The role involves shaping architecture, driving engineering standards, and building secure, high-performance applications in a remote setting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable products while mentoring technical excellence.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable frontend applications using Angular.
- Build, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs, integrations, and business services.
- Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance full-stack applications following clean architecture principles.
- Contribute to system architecture, technical design, solution decomposition, and key implementation decisions.
- Implement secure coding practices covering authentication, authorization, input validation, data protection, and OWASP principles.
- Design and execute automated testing strategies across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing levels.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines while supporting containerized and cloud-native deployment environments.
What you’ll bring
- 11+ years of total professional experience in software engineering and development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot for backend application development.
- Advanced experience with Angular for building modern and scalable web applications.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design.
- Experience with API management and integration platforms such as Apigee, Kong, or MuleSoft.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized development, and cloud-native deployment environments.
- Solid knowledge of secure coding practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, data protection, and OWASP principles.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, documentation, testing, and engineering productivity.
