About the role
Operations team at AIT Worldwide Logistics manages global export shipments. The Assistant Manager oversees end-to-end ocean export processes, prepares documentation, coordinates carriers, and ensures compliance with SOPs and customs regulations. Mumbai office, on-site work model, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Manage freehand, nomination, and locally sold ocean export enquiries
- Prepare and verify shipping instructions, Bill of Lading drafts, VGM submissions, and export documents
- Coordinate with carriers, NVOCCs, CHAs, and transporters to ensure smooth operations
- Partner with local sales teams to support customer communication and resolve issues
- Monitor booking placement and ensure compliance with SOPs and KPIs
What you’ll bring
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or related field
Nice to have
- 5-6 years of experience in ocean export operations
- CargoWise proficiency preferred
- Knowledge of DG/GDP requirements
- Understanding of Incoterms and export documentation
