About the role

QPU Engineering Operations at Rigetti Computing builds quantum hardware that powers next‑generation processors. The Field Engineer operates and troubleshoots dilution refrigerators, maintains cryogenic infrastructure, validates RF hardware, and collaborates with physicists, engineers, and technicians on‑site in Bangalore. This role requires deep laboratory experience, customer‑facing support, and hands‑on cryogenic expertise.

What you’ll do

Operate and troubleshoot dilution refrigerators
Maintain cryogenic infrastructure
Validate RF hardware performance
Debug cross‑disciplinary issues (RF, vacuum, cryogenics, electronics)
Collaborate with physicists, engineers, technicians
Document procedures and SOPs
Coordinate with external vendors and customers
Assist in field deployment and on‑site support

What you’ll bring

Physics or Engineering degree (MS/PhD preferred)
Proficiency with oscilloscope, network analyzer, multimeter, DC power supply
Hands‑on experience operating dilution refrigerators
Experience with sub‑Kelvin cryogenic systems
Knowledge of vacuum systems and helium leak detection
Statistical test methods (DOE, Six Sigma)
Strong documentation and SOP writing
Excellent communication skills

Nice to have
