AI Data Architect

About the role

AI Data Architecture team at Kyndryl designs and implements enterprise AI data platforms that enable AI agents to consume and act on complex operational data. The role leads the definition of target-state AI data architecture, builds governed RAG pipelines, vector indexing, and knowledge graphs, and provides cross‑functional leadership to data and AI engineers. Hybrid work model across Bangalore and other Indian locations, with occasional onsite collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Design end‑to‑end data architecture blueprints for AI ingestion and serving
• Architect governed APIs, retrieval services, and context packages for multi‑agent workflows
• Define RAG models, chunking, indexing policies, and hybrid search strategies
• Establish data quality thresholds, evaluation datasets, and drift detection
• Enforce Zero Trust data access, privacy masking, and audit frameworks
• Create cloud‑agnostic data pipelines and lakehouse/vector infrastructure
• Map ITSM operational workflows into AI‑ready data products
• Provide architectural direction and standards to engineering teams

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years enterprise data/platform architecture
• 3+ years building GenAI, RAG, AI agent data models
• Expertise with LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen
• Experience with vector engines Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Milvus, pgvector
• Deep knowledge of data platforms Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Fabric
• Proven AMS/ITSM domain expertise with ServiceNow, CMDB
• Strong governance, Zero Trust, RBAC/ABAC, data lineage
• Consulting and stakeholder leadership experience
