Associate Director - Cloud-Based Data Science

About the role

WNS, an Agentic AI-powered leader in intelligent operations, seeks an Associate Director to lead its cloud-based data science program in Bangalore. The role involves managing cross-functional teams of data engineers and scientists to deliver scalable, secure cloud solutions aligned with business objectives. This full-time position is based on-site in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

What you’ll do

• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary technical team fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Oversee design, development, and optimization of cloud-based data platforms and ML solutions.
• Manage complete project lifecycle including planning, execution, resource allocation, and budgets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize work and align technical solutions with business goals.
• Establish best practices for cloud architecture, code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
• Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements using emerging technologies.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, tools, and budgets while providing regular updates to leadership.
• Act as primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in technical leadership or management.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data engineering, machine learning, and model deployment.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, or Scala.
