About the role

Cognizant's IT Infrastructure team seeks a Lead Software Engineer (Forward Deployment Engineer, GenAI/Full Stack) to design, develop, and deploy GenAI-powered solutions using tools like Devin, Claude Code, and Cursor. The role integrates GenAI tools into enterprise SDLC workflows, partners with Wells Fargo LOB teams to accelerate delivery, and leads tool onboarding, training, and best-practice enablement across teams. Based in Hyderabad or Bangalore, India, the position focuses on prompt engineering, RAG, agent-based workflows, and optimizing tool usage for enterprise clients.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and deploy GenAI-powered solutions using Devin, Claude Code, and Cursor
  • Integrate GenAI tools into enterprise SDLC workflows (CI/CD, internal platforms)
  • Partner closely with Wells Fargo LOB teams to accelerate delivery and improve end-to-end product lifecycle using GenAI capabilities
  • Lead tool onboarding, training, and enablement, driving adoption and best practices across teams
  • Monitor and optimize tool usage efficiency and performance outcomes
  • Establish and drive best practices for GenAI usage including prompt engineering and workflow integration
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting, performance tuning, and scaling support

What you’ll bring

  • Strong fullstack engineering experience (Java, React/Angular/TypeScript, Python)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., OCP, GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with Devin/Claude/Anthropic models
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, and agent-based workflows
  • Experience with distributed systems, APIs, event-driven and microservices architecture
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments with high adoption demands
  • Experience working in enterprise environments with governance and compliance requirements
