About the role
Senior Data Engineer on Cigna’s global data engineering team, building and governing data pipelines that feed analytics and operational reporting. Day‑to‑day, you design source‑to‑target mappings, develop ETL/ELT processes with SQL, SSIS, and cloud tools, and validate data quality through SQL queries. You collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and product teams across time zones, ensuring data governance and security standards are met.
What you’ll do
- Own source‑to‑target mappings aligned to enterprise data model
- Facilitate mapping workshops and impact analysis
- Validate mapping outcomes with SQL queries
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines
- Monitor production data processes and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with Agile delivery teams
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and communicate risks
- Ensure data governance, security, and quality standards
