Engineer II, DevOps Engineering

About the role

DAIV System Team at Thermo Fisher Scientific provides CI/CD infrastructure, developer tooling, AI enablement, and cybersecurity support for desktop and web product teams. As a DevOps Engineer you will implement and maintain pipelines, automate workflows, support build and release activities, and ensure secure software lifecycle practices. Bangalore, hybrid work model, occasional travel for global collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and DevOps infrastructure
• Support product teams with build, test, packaging, deployment, and release activities
• Create scripts and automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency
• Manage Git repositories, runners, artifact storage, and developer tooling
• Operate automated code, dependency, container, and secrets scanning
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, and patching of development tools and platforms
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, cybersecurity specialists, and stakeholders
• Engage in Agile planning, team reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3 to 6 years DevOps experience
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with Python, .NET, Docker, and Linux
• Familiarity with secure SDLC practices and vulnerability remediation
• Strong communication skills in English
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
