About the role

Risk and Control Analytics team at HSBC focuses on first‑line defense risk management, control monitoring and operational resilience. The Assistant Vice President leads issue management, control assessments, audit readiness and automation projects to improve process efficiency. Bangalore, India, on-site, Full-time role.

What you’ll do

• Engage in first‑line defense risk management projects including issue management and control monitoring
• Validate design and operating effectiveness of key controls through inspection, inquiry, observation and testing
• Participate in audit/assurance readiness and operational resilience initiatives
• Conduct end‑to‑end process walkthroughs and data‑driven risk reviews
• Identify emerging risks and trends across financial crime, resilience and regulatory domains
• Lead automation projects to improve process efficiency

What you’ll bring

• 8-15 years experience in operational risk and controls
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing senior risk owners
• Ability to prioritize risk deliverables and work independently
• Knowledge of private banking and wealth products
• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with digitalization and data analytics
