Associate Director, Data and Analytics

About the role

HSBC seeks an Associate Director in Data and Analytics to lead cloud-native data engineering solutions in Hyderabad. The role involves defining reference architectures, driving CI/CD excellence, and embedding AI into workflows without direct management duties. This on-site position requires strong engineering fundamentals and a continuous improvement mindset.

What you’ll do

• Lead end-to-end solution design and implementation on open-source stacks across multiple tenants
• Drive engineering excellence across CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, and release governance
• Guide engineers through complexity and raise standards through day-to-day actions
• Define reference architectures and reusable patterns for ingestion, transformation, and serving
• Apply modern delivery and operations experience including DevOps practices and DORA metrics
• Maintain focus on AI/ML evolution and identify opportunities to embed AI into workflows
