Staff Software Engineer - Fullstack

About the role

Databricks seeks a Staff Software Engineer in Bengaluru to build customer-facing workflows and self-serve onboarding interfaces for its Data + AI platform. The role involves designing scalable UI flows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers to enhance the user experience. This is an on-site position based in India.

What you’ll do

• Build simple workflows covering multiple user journeys in Databricks Control Plane
• Create self-serve and modular UI flows for product teams
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams including product management and backend engineers
• Participate in planning and execution of complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
• Create, deploy, test, and upgrade complex data pipelines for data visualization
• Provide SQL-centric data exploration and dashboarding experiences
• Mentor and groom junior full stack engineers

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of industry experience
• Experience leading large multi-quarter efforts with demonstrated impact
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch
• Familiarity with server-side web technologies
• Knowledge of front-end architecture trends (performance, accessibility, security)
• Experience building large-scale products
• Experience working on a SaaS platform or Service-Oriented Architectures
