Manager, EM Demand & Distribution Planner

About the role

Supply Chain team at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries drives end‑to‑end demand and distribution planning to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction. The Manager leads long‑range forecasting, market analysis, and inventory norm optimization while coordinating with sales, marketing, and global supply planners. Based in Mumbai, India, on‑site role with up to 30% travel.

What you’ll do

• Provide long‑term forecasts for annual budgets and long‑range planning
• Conduct market analysis using IMS data and customer contracts
• Maintain master data hygiene and inventory norms
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and global supply planners to develop consensus forecasts
• Represent portfolio in pre‑S&OP and S&OP meetings
• Monitor FG inventory and drive slow‑moving stock liquidation
• Track dispatches and suggest mode changes as needed
• Drive key supply chain metrics such as OTIF, forecast accuracy, and inventory days

What you’ll bring

• 5-8 years overall experience
• 3-4 years demand planning and inventory management
• Mid‑management responsibility in at least one area
• Exposure to supply planning

Nice to have

Masters degree in Operations Management, Mechanical/Production Engineering, B.Pharm or M.Pharm
