About the role

India Direct Custody Operations team drives transformation and operational excellence for JPMorgan Chase's custody platform in India. The Executive Director leads strategic change, governance, and remediation initiatives, optimizing processes, managing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance while collaborating with product, compliance, technology, and market infrastructure partners. Based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on-site work model with occasional travel to client and stakeholder sites.

What you’ll do

• Lead strategic change initiatives across custody operations
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks
• Monitor and remediate risk indicators
• Build relationships with clients, exchanges, clearing houses and regulators
• Partner with product, compliance and technology on regulatory changes
• Analyze and resolve service delivery issues and operational incidents
• Leverage technology and data analytics for operational improvement
• Inspire and develop diverse high‑performing teams

• 15+ years custody and settlements experience
• 8+ years managerial leadership
• Deep knowledge of India market regulations
