About the role
Capgemini is seeking an SAP FI TAX Lead to lead SAP FI Tax solutions across implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects. You will configure and support GST, VAT, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax processes, analyze business requirements, and design tax-compliant SAP solutions integrated with FI, MM, and SD. The role involves managing end-to-end project activities, collaborating with Finance, Tax, Audit, and business stakeholders, driving SAP S/4HANA tax transformation initiatives, and mentoring junior consultants. Locations include Gandhinagar, Pune, Bangalore, and Mumbai.
What you’ll do
- Lead SAP FI Tax solutions across implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects
- Configure and support GST, VAT, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax (TDS/TCS) processes in SAP
- Analyze business requirements and design tax-compliant SAP solutions integrated with FI, MM, and SD
- Manage end-to-end project activities including workshops, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare support
- Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Audit, and business stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance
- Drive SAP S/4HANA tax transformation initiatives and process improvements
- Mentor junior consultants and provide functional leadership to project teams
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years of experience in SAP FI with strong focus on Taxation
- Hands-on expertise in SAP FI Tax configuration, tax procedures, tax codes, and tax determination
- Experience with GST compliance, e-Invoicing, statutory reporting, and tax reconciliations
- Strong knowledge of SAP FI integration with MM and SD modules
- Experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects
- Ability to gather business requirements, prepare functional specifications, and manage stakeholders
