About the role
Senior Engineer – SCM at Weir Minerals (India) Private Limited, part of Weir Group’s mining technology division focused on sustainable resource extraction. The role manages export/import documentation, customs compliance, freight negotiations, and incentive claims, ensuring seamless supply chain operations for the Bangalore factory. Onsite in Bangalore with minimal travel, the engineer collaborates across sales, finance, and regulatory teams to drive efficiency and safety.
What you’ll do
- Track and maintain export/import control sheets
- Coordinate customs audits and queries
- Negotiate freight costs and contracts
- Manage export incentives and refunds
- Prepare EXIM and GST reports
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams
- Ensure compliance with DGFT and AEO processes
- Support post-customs audit processes
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years in export/import logistics
- Expertise in DGFT, ICEGATE, CBIC
- Strong knowledge of customs and freight
- Experience with export incentives
- Proficiency in INCO-TERMS
- HSN code management
- Audit coordination
- Freight negotiation
