About the role
Paytm's Oil and Gas vertical Focused Offline payment solution team builds payment solutions for oil, petrol, and gas bills via POS and EDC machines, serving petrol and gas station merchants and other retail businesses. As an Area Sales Manager in Indore, you will drive EDC machine sales across multiple locations, onboard and service merchants, maintain relationships with PSU and oil marketing companies, and lead a team through goal-setting, coaching, and performance monitoring. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
What you’ll do
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
- Drive swiping device (EDC) sales in the assigned area
- Resolve merchant queries and drive overall merchant engagement
- Hire and build a team, set clear goals, delegate tasks, and set deadlines
- Oversee day-to-day operations and monitor team performance, reporting on metrics
- Motivate team members, discover training needs, and provide coaching
- Listen to team feedback and resolve issues or conflicts
- Recognize high performance, reward accomplishments, encourage creativity and risk-taking, and organize team building activities
