Senior Engineer - IP

About the role

Ericsson seeks a Senior Engineer- IP in Noida, India, to manage alarm analysis, troubleshooting, and change requests for IP nodes like routers and firewalls. The role involves resolving customer tickets, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring service availability through proactive health checks. This is an on-site position requiring deep expertise in IP networking protocols and vendor equipment.

What you’ll do

• Perform alarm analysis, operation-maintenance, and trouble-shooting on IP nodes
• Analyze and resolve trouble tickets raised by customers or L2 teams
• Supervise ITSM ticket queues to maintain MTTR and SLA compliance
• Identify root causes for incidents and recommend resolution actions
• Conduct node health checks, backups, and troubleshoot deviations
• Collaborate with field teams for hardware failures and node unreachable issues
• Share details for MIR and CSR with respective teams
• Handle 3PP/OEM interactions, problem management support, and data analytics

What you’ll bring

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the IP domain
• Strong knowledge of OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, BFD, Segment Routing
• Experience with CISCO, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia/Alcatel-SAS, Checkpoint, Fortinet, F5 products
• Ability to analyze P0-P4 incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Understanding of Switching VLAN, STP, VRRP, HSRP, and IP Security protocols
• Telecom knowledge including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G service flows and interfaces
