About the role
Google Cloud FrontRow Database Observability team builds tooling to monitor and debug cloud databases at scale. The engineer designs, implements, and launches full‑stack features for database observability platforms, collaborating with UX, product, and backend partners. Bengaluru office, on‑site work model, with opportunities to influence product direction and mentor junior engineers.
What you’ll do
- Design, implement, and launch high‑quality full‑stack features for database observability tools
- Collaborate with UX designers, researchers, product managers, and backend engineers to shape product direction
- Identify and execute improvements to shared codebase and user experience
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the team
- Drive large‑scale, user‑facing application development with high velocity
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software development with Java, C/C++ or JavaScript
- Experience leading software projects and building large‑scale web applications
- Experience with database tooling, IDEs, and observability concepts
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL cloud databases
