Senior Engineer - Power Systems

About the role
Power Systems Engineering at WSP designs and delivers large‑scale transmission and distribution studies to ensure reliable, sustainable electricity delivery. The Senior Engineer leads power system analysis, feasibility and renewable integration studies, reviews technical submittals, and coordinates with EPC contractors and clients, leveraging tools like DIgSILENT and PSS/E. Based in Noida with hybrid work model, supporting projects across India.
What you’ll do
- Conduct power system analysis for transmission and distribution projects
- Perform feasibility, masterplan, dispatch and renewable integration studies
- Execute load flow, fault level, harmonic, voltage and transient stability analyses
- Review and comment on EPC contractor technical submittals and models
- Attend meetings, FAT/SAT visits and ensure grid compliance requirements are met
- Incorporate equipment models into utility network studies using PSSE and PSCAD
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination and client relationship management
What you’ll bring
- Master’s Degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering
- 10-15 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with PSS Sincal, PSSE, PLS CAD, DIgSILENT
- Experience in transmission and distribution power system studies
- Knowledge of Python or Java for automation
- Background with utilities such as TRANSCO/SEC/ADDC
- People management and client communication skills
