Member Technical Staff / Technical Lead, Linux BSP

About the role

Embedded Systems Team at Arrow Electronics designs and builds real‑time embedded firmware and Linux‑based applications. The role leads Linux kernel driver development, BSP and bootloader porting, and collaborates on hardware‑software integration using Yocto/Buildroot and extensive debugging tools. Based on multiple Indian sites (Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Indore, Chennai, Noida, Bangalore) with on‑site work required.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop real‑time embedded firmware and Linux device drivers
• Create and maintain BSP and bootloader code for various platforms
• Perform unit, functional, and system testing, both manual and automated
• Conduct code reviews and static analysis to ensure quality
• Document specifications, design documents, test cases, and release notes
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to interpret schematics and datasheets
• Utilize debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and JTAG programmers
• Follow defined software development lifecycle processes

• 5+ years embedded Linux development
• Strong Linux kernel and driver experience
• Yocto/Buildroot build systems
• Embedded microprocessor platforms (Qualcomm, TI, NXP, NVIDIA, Intel)
• Hardware schematic and datasheet analysis
• Version control (GIT, SVN) and issue tracking (JIRA)
