About the role
SoC Design Team at NXP India leads the creation of advanced System-on-Chip solutions for embedded applications. The Senior Principal Engineer defines architecture, drives RTL coding, verification and synthesis, and mentors cross‑functional teams to ensure low‑power, high‑performance designs. Pune, on-site, full-time, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Define and drive SoC architecture including CPU subsystems, interconnects, and memory hierarchy
- Perform hands‑on RTL coding, debugging, and design reviews
- Lead RTL design, verification, and synthesis for complex SoCs
- Collaborate with hardware/software integration teams
- Mentor technical teams and guide design best practices
- Ensure PPA optimization and compliance with industry standards
What you’ll bring
- 15+ years SoC design and architecture
- Successful tape‑outs of multiple SoCs
- Expertise in ARM‑based microcontrollers
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog and synthesis
- Experience with low‑power design techniques
- Knowledge of interfaces: SPI, I²C, UART, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, CAN, eSPI
- Familiarity with security IPs and cryptographic accelerators
- Experience with EDA tools such as Synopsys and Cadence
