Area Sales Manager

About the role

Paytm's Oil and Gas vertical Focused Offline payment solution team handles end-to-end sales and operations for petrol and gas station merchants and other retail businesses, including onboarding merchants for offline solutions via POS and EDC machines and servicing existing merchants. The Area Sales Manager (Assistant Manager) in Bhopal will drive EDC machine sales across multiple locations, build and lead a team, set goals, oversee daily operations, monitor performance, and resolve merchant queries while maintaining relationships with PSU and oil marketing companies. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

What you’ll do

• Drive swiping device (EDC) sales through proper channels to merchants across multiple locations
• Onboard new merchants for offline solutions and service existing merchants
• Maintain good relationships with PSU companies and oil marketing companies
• Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and set deadlines
• Oversee day-to-day operations and monitor team performance, reporting on metrics
• Resolve merchant queries and drive overall merchant engagement
• Discover training needs, provide coaching, and listen to team feedback to resolve issues or conflicts
• Recognize high performance, reward accomplishments, and encourage creativity and risk-taking
