Solutions Architect

About the role

The Solutions Architect role at Simform involves leading engineering teams, designing technical architectures, and ensuring adherence to best practices. The position requires expertise in backend technologies, cloud platforms, and system design principles. The architect will provide technical leadership, mentor teams, and bridge communication between technical and business stakeholders. Responsibilities include optimizing architectures, troubleshooting, and contributing to internal technical initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend technologies, cloud services, and DevOps practices, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

What you’ll do

• Design, validate, and optimize technical architectures across diverse tech stacks
• Explain technical solutions to development teams and assist with implementation
• Provide technical leadership to teams during project execution
• Maintain a hands-on approach to technology with code analysis and reviews
• Ensure adherence to best practices and enforce secure coding standards
• Advocate for process improvements and reduction of technical debt
• Serve as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders
• Provide technical support for pre-sales initiatives and client interactions
• Define and implement architectural standards and governance practices
• Contribute to internal initiatives such as technical training and audits

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of technical experience with backend technologies
• Expertise in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, .NET, PHP, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong system design principles knowledge (security, scalability, etc.)
• Hands-on expertise in backend tech stack and code reviews
• Experience in designing robust, secure, and optimized software systems
• Understanding of cloud services and cloud-native solution design
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with distributed teams
• Solution-oriented mindset with adaptability in fast-paced environments
• Working knowledge of frontend technologies and integration
• Experience in creating architectural documentation and artifacts

Nice to have

• Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Exposure to diverse projects including Data Engineering, AI, or ML
• Knowledge of various testing tools and frameworks (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.)
• Experience with SaaS platforms or multi-tenant architecture
