About the role

Verizon's Corporate FP&A team is redefining finance by pioneering AI-driven practices and intelligent workflows. In this role, you will architect automations, build AI agents, and transform complex financial datasets into actionable intelligence using advanced visualization tools. You will bridge finance and data science teams, deliver C-suite reporting, and act as a strategic advisor through AI-driven scenario planning. This hybrid position is based in Hyderabad or Chennai, India.

What you’ll do

• Architect Intelligent Workflows: Identify bottlenecks in traditional FP&A processes and spearhead the implementation of automations and AI solutions
• AI-Enhanced Data Storytelling: Transform complex, multi-layered datasets into clear, actionable intelligence using advanced data visualization tools and AI-generated insights
• Bridge Finance and Technology: Act as the crucial link between traditional FP&A and data science teams, ensuring AI algorithms are trained with deep financial context and commercial acumen
• Prompt Engineering for Finance: Utilize generative AI tools to rapidly synthesize financial data, draft preliminary variance narratives, and accelerate the reporting cycle
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial planning, reporting & analyses for the business
• Be a trusted advisor by providing valuable decision support and guidance to FP&A Business Partners
• Proactive Value Creation: Move beyond retrospective reporting to become a forward-looking strategic advisor, using AI-driven scenario planning to guide executive decision-making and identify growth op
• Collaborate with the various stakeholders to deploy Qlik/Looker Applications in production environments and resolve any production issues with existing applications

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree
• Four or more years of work experience in financial report automations
• Five or more years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics within FP&A teams
• Hands-on experience in Qlik Sense & Tableau
• Deep, hands-on experience building AI agents or agentic systems in production
• Strong understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations across multiple models (Claude, Gemini, Codex, etc.)
• Expertise in prompt engineering, model selection, and working with tool-use/function calling
• Ability to mine, extract, transform, and load large financial datasets to create zero-touch reports
