About the role
Weekday AI client team seeks an experienced AWS Data Architect to design and implement scalable, secure cloud data platforms supporting enterprise analytics and reporting. The role involves building high‑performance data pipelines with Spark (Scala), AWS Glue, EMR and orchestrating ETL/ELT workflows, while collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust architectures. Bengaluru, on-site, full‑time position with relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement scalable, secure AWS data architectures
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Spark, Glue, Oozie
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for large data volumes
- Create cloud data models for analytics and BI workloads
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Monitor performance and optimize for reliability and cost
- Implement cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices
- Automate resource provisioning with CloudFormation
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years data architecture experience
- Expertise with AWS services (EMR, Redshift, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Athena, OpenSearch, CloudFormation)
- Advanced Spark with Scala
- Strong data modeling and ETL/ELT design
- Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation
- AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or Solutions Architect preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
