About the role
The Global Mobility Associate, CSS HR role at Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd. supports the Centralized Share Services, HR function, which serves as a strategic partner for transforming and delivering business operations across the Hitachi group. Day-to-day, you will manage end-to-end international assignments, administer mobility-related benefits and compensation, coordinate relocation logistics, manage immigration and expatriate payroll, and partner with vendors and stakeholders throughout the assignment lifecycle. You will also research and model mobility programs as part of Hitachi’s Total Rewards strategy and translate documents/emails from Japanese to English as needed. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
What you’ll do
- Provide international mobility services to Hitachi employees and manage end-to-end international assignments
- Support assignees, business, and other stakeholders throughout the assignment life cycle
- Facilitate administration of mobility-related benefits and compensation packages
- Work closely with vendors such as immigration, relocation, DSPs, and tax partners to ensure smooth assignment implementation
- Research, model, and evaluate mobility programs as part of Hitachi’s Total Rewards strategy
- Ensure immigration and tax compliances are handled by partnering with vendors
- Translate documents/emails from Japanese to English to assist the global mobility team
- Manage vendor invoices, including validation, payment arrangement, and recharging, and handle end-of-assignment activities such as repatriation
What you’ll bring
- At least 3 to 8 years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Vendor management experience
- Experience in writing SOPs and creating process maps
- Knowledge of US visas (L1, H1s, etc.) and immigration processes for the US and European countries such as UK, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany
- Experience managing expatriate payroll for assignees across different countries and regions
- Ability to manage expatriate tax compliance and handle tax notices from federal and state authorities
- Ability to translate documents/emails from Japanese to English as required
Nice to have
- Knowledge of AssignmentPro is preferred
- Experience in expatriate payroll management is desired
