Associate Director - NFR Control Testing

About the role

ANZ’s Institutional Bank in Bengaluru seeks an Associate Director to strengthen the Non-Financial Risk framework for Global Markets. The role involves leading control testing, monitoring, and remediation using data-driven approaches across products and value chains. This hybrid position requires strong leadership to guide teams and influence stakeholders on risk outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Lead and execute risk-based control monitoring and testing across Global Markets
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness using data-driven methodologies
• Identify control weaknesses and drive prioritized remediation actions
• Partner with Control Owners and Risk/Compliance teams to strengthen accountability
• Analyze testing results and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders
• Support implementation of automated monitoring and testing solutions
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to team members
• Promote continuous improvement in control design and testing methodologies

What you’ll bring

• 15+ years' experience in Global Markets, Institutional Banking, or Risk Management
• Strong background in control testing, monitoring, assurance, or internal audit
• Sound understanding of Global Markets products and associated non-financial risks
• Knowledge of control design and operating effectiveness testing methodologies
• Experience applying data-driven approaches to control testing and monitoring
• Proven ability to identify control weaknesses and support root-cause analysis
