About the role
SAP HCM Payroll Support, Specialist role based in India supporting and implementing SAP HCM Payroll solutions for European markets. The specialist configures, tests, and delivers payroll functionality aligned with business requirements, working closely with clients and project teams. The position combines hands-on SAP expertise with client engagement, project coordination, and problem-solving to ensure payroll systems are accurate, compliant, and ready for go-live. This is a remote position.
What you’ll do
- Provide expert functional guidance and support throughout SAP HCM Payroll implementation activities, ensuring solutions align with established standards, best practices, and client requirements
- Configure and customize SAP Payroll functionality based on customer needs, and conduct system testing to validate functionality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
- Support payroll implementation projects by managing priorities effectively and ensuring activities are completed within agreed timelines and milestones
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to maintain clear communication and resolve issues efficiently
- Track project progress and maintain appropriate documentation while supporting project team members as required
- Apply a strong understanding of HR business processes and SAP HCM architecture to deliver effective payroll solutions within defined project timelines
- Support go-live preparation and activities, helping ensure payroll systems are fully tested, stable, and ready for production use
- Handle sensitive payroll and employee information with appropriate discretion and professionalism
What you’ll bring
- Hands-on experience with SAP HCM, particularly SAP Payroll, gained through professional implementation or support projects
- Experience delivering 2–3 successful SAP HCM support or implementation projects
- Strong knowledge of European payroll processes and configuration, with expertise in at least one of Germany, Belgium, or the Netherlands
- Demonstrated ability to configure and support SAP HCM Payroll solutions while maintaining a high standard of quality and compliance
- Solid understanding of HR business processes and SAP HCM architecture
- Strong project organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively to project milestones
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong client-service orientation and the ability to collaborate across teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science & Technology, or a related field
