About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a Data Centre Engineering Operations specialist to manage mechanical and electrical infrastructure across Indian data centers. The role involves hands-on maintenance, incident management, and vendor coordination to ensure continuous uptime. This full-time position is based in Mumbai, India, with potential for other locations.

What you’ll do

• Oversee operation and maintenance of critical IT infrastructure
• Manage changes, events, incidents, and problems end-to-end
• Execute planned maintenance for electrical, mechanical, and fire suppression systems
• Develop standard operating procedures and technical documentation
• Coordinate with landlords, vendors, and internal teams
• Handle asset and inventory management
• Provide 24x7 on-call and rotational shift support
• Conduct technical compliance auditing and corrective action close-outs

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or critical environment
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Nice to have

• Knowledge of electrical systems including UPS, generators, and SCADA
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC
• Experience in mission critical facilities such as hospitals or military sites
