About the role
Projects and Technology at Shell India drives digital transformation for finance functions. The Sr. Functional Analyst leads global SAP FI and Indirect Tax design, partners with project managers to estimate effort, and oversees functional specs, reports, and interfaces for S/4HANA Tax solutions. Works closely with stakeholders, performs testing, and ensures compliance while supporting remote/mobile work from Bangalore, India.
What you’ll do
- Drive global SAP FI and Indirect Tax solution design
- Lead S/4HANA Tax functional design and effort estimation
- Supervise functional specifications and report/interface development
- Conduct stakeholder requirement gathering and translation
- Coordinate with change and release management via Azure DevOps
- Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Resolve defects and provide post‑go‑live support
- Prepare audit and compliance reporting
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years SAP/S4 implementation
- 5+ years ECC to S/4HANA transformation
- 5+ years Global Next & OITD Private Cloud projects
- Strong functional knowledge of Indirect Tax and global tax regimes
- Expertise in SAP Tax Compliance with ML
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile frameworks
- Integration experience with ERP-to-ERP interfaces
- Tax audit and regulatory compliance
