About the role

Facilities Operations at WeWork India oversees end‑to‑end building services across multiple centres, ensuring technical and soft services run smoothly. The Lead manages HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and BMS systems, while also supervising housekeeping, security and member experience teams. Works cross‑functionally with community, sales, finance and design to maintain operational uptime, client satisfaction and cost efficiency. Chennai office, on‑site role with occasional travel to other Indian centres.

What you’ll do

• Oversee building operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety systems
• Ensure 24/7 operational readiness and minimal downtime across all centres
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for technical infrastructure
• Supervise soft services such as housekeeping, security and pantry operations
• Serve as primary client contact for facility‑related issues and conduct walkthroughs
• Lead, mentor and develop a diverse facilities team
• Collaborate with community, sales, finance and design teams for seamless operations
• Coordinate budgeting, vendor contracts and compliance with health and safety regulations

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or related field
• Minimum 10 years facilities management or building operations experience
• Proven experience managing large‑scale commercial or multi‑site properties
• Strong background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building automation systems
• Experience leading technical and soft‑services teams
• Vendor management and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of statutory compliance for commercial buildings
• Fluent in English and Hindi
