Accounting & Reporting Analyst - Accounts Payable

About the role

The Accounting & Reporting Analyst - Accounts Payable role sits within ABB's Finance Services business, FAO-P2P division in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, reporting to the Accounting & Reporting Manager-Payable. Day-to-day, you will process and accurately track accounts payable transactions, verify invoice compliance with fiscal and internal control requirements, and execute assigned analyses and reports. You will also support internal control over financial reporting compliance, participate in control testing, prepare documentation, and keep stakeholders informed to maximize customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, on-site position.

What you’ll do

• Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate tracking and processing
• Perform necessary activities within accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Execute analysis and reports as assigned and take appropriate action as necessary
• Compile with and help achieve internal control over financial reporting compliance in accounts payable for applicable templates
• Participate in internal control testing and prepare relevant documentation
• Ensure all relevant stakeholders are aware of progress and/or issues to maximize customer satisfaction
• Check invoices to verify compliance with fiscal and internal control requirements
• Focus on organizing and coordinating on a task, project, or program basis in support of a process or internal team

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Freshers with post-graduation, or 2-3 years of experience with a Commerce degree background
• Good communication skills
• Ability to process accounting transactions for Accounts Payable completely, accurately, and timely
• Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, procedures, and external regulatory requirements
• Compile with and help achieve internal control over financial reporting compliance in accounts payable
• Participate in internal control testing and prepare relevant documentation
• Verify invoices comply with fiscal and internal control requirements
