Staff Software Engineer - Fullstack

About the role

LinkedIn seeks a Staff Software Engineer to build scalable, high-volume applications that create economic opportunity for the global workforce. What you’ll do

• Scale distributed applications and make architectural trade-offs
• Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing applications
• Produce high quality unit tested and code reviewed software
• Provide technical leadership on large-scale critical programs
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity
• Mentor junior engineers and interns

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related practical experience
• 8+ years hands-on backend development in Java
• Web development with object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Extensive programming in modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with frameworks like EmberJS or React
• API building experience

Nice to have

• Developing multi-tier scalable user-centric applications
• Deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Knowledge of UI and API frameworks
• MVP application design experience
