About the role

State & Local Tax (SALT) team at RSM provides specialized tax advisory services to middle‑market clients. The Senior Associate delivers profitable SALT engagements, researches complex state and local tax issues, prepares technical memoranda and client deliverables, and manages tax assignments and project flow. Hyderabad or Bengaluru office, on‑site work model, with flexibility in schedule.

What you’ll do

• Deliver profitable SALT services utilizing firm and client resources
• Provide timely, high‑quality tax advice and consultation to increase client shareholder value
• Research and resolve technical state and local tax issues
• Prepare technical memoranda, matrices, and client deliverables
• Manage tax assignments, coordinate information flow with clients, and review work papers and state tax returns
• Participate in billing and collection processes
• Identify opportunities for additional client services and market technical expertise

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years state and local tax experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or law firm
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field

Nice to have

• CPA, Masters of Accounting, MBA, or LLM in Taxation preferred
• Broad knowledge of state and local tax matters across industries
