About the role

Information Technology team seeks a WordPress Developer Intern to support the creation and maintenance of WordPress sites. The intern will develop and customize themes and plugins, optimize site performance, and assist with responsive design and e‑commerce features. This remote role offers hands‑on experience collaborating with the team and learning best practices in WordPress development.

What you’ll do

Assist in developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins
Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve site issues
Conduct research on WordPress best practices and implement improvements
Optimize site performance through efficient coding and appropriate tools
Implement responsive design principles for seamless user experience across devices
Support e‑commerce functionality implementation on WordPress sites
Contribute to testing and debugging processes to ensure solution quality
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on WordPress inquiries

What you’ll bring

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field
Basic understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins
Proficiency in PHP, HTML, and CSS
Knowledge of JavaScript
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and time management abilities
Understanding of web performance optimization techniques
Experience with Git is a plus
