Manager, Accounting

About the role

Manager, Accounting overseeing daily accounting functions, including general accounting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with US GAAP, and supporting audits. Leads reconciliation, close processes, and staff development within Ventra Health's revenue cycle management environment.

What you’ll do

• Manage daily accounting functions: general accounting, payroll, AP, AR
• Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts monthly
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, annual close and financial reporting
• Analyze, verify, post journal entries and correct accounting entries
• Prepare and review internal/external reports and ad-hoc analyses
• Manage accounts receivable process, billing accuracy, invoicing
• Monitor aging balances, assess collectability
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local, state, federal tax requirements
• Assist auditors with periodic audits and financial statements
• Reconcile and adjust bank accounts for cash flow management
• Mentor and develop finance staff, administer policies and procedures
• Support budgeting, strategic planning, and special projects

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's in business, accounting, healthcare finance or related field
• 8-10 years healthcare finance, accounting, treasury experience
• CPA preferred
• Strong leadership/management skills
• Proficient in accounting, finance, Outlook, Great Plains ERP
• Knowledge of US GAAP, state/federal laws, regulations
• Excellent communication, presentation, time management
