About the role
Caterpillar Inc. is hiring an IT Analyst Applications (IT Service Delivery Analyst) for its IT Infrastructure Support - CAT IT Division, based on-site at the Whitefield PSN Office in Bangalore, India. The role blends technical expertise with procurement and contract management, serving as a strategic liaison between internal IT service consumers and third-party providers. Day-to-day work includes managing the full contract lifecycle, facilitating renewal meetings, resolving invoice and payment issues, overseeing the request-to-PO process for ~200 projects annually, and utilizing tools like FR3, Coupa, CMS, and Guided Buy. The position follows a 5-day in-office schedule on the EMEA shift (01:00 PM - 10:00 PM IST).
What you’ll do
- Manage the full contract lifecycle—from initial request through purchase order creation, invoice processing, and contract termination.
- Facilitate meetings with contract owners to validate upcoming renewals and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Develop renewal justifications, document contract changes, and submit for system approvals.
- Act as a link between Hosting Services and Procurement/Legal teams for contract, invoice, and payment matters.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual work and streamline processes.
- Resolve issues related to contracts, invoices, and payments with third-party providers.
- Ensure timely receipt and processing of invoices to align with budget forecasts.
- Oversee the request-to-PO process for approximately 200 projects annually, ranging from small to multi-million-dollar engagements.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of IT-related experience, including indirect procurement and vendor management.
- Effective communication skills with ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas and information.
- Customer service management knowledge and commitment to excellent service for internal and external customers.
- Problem-solving knowledge and ability to apply approaches to diverse organizational and operational situations.
- Data gathering and reporting knowledge with ability to practice tools and techniques in a department or division.
- Key Performance Indicators knowledge and ability to use strategies and tools for defining and measuring progress toward goals.
- Ability to work a 5-day week schedule in the office on the EMEA shift (01:00 PM - 10:00 PM IST).
