SDET Lead

About the role

Iris Software seeks an SDET Lead in Gurugram, India, to own and shape quality engineering for mission-critical enterprise applications. Day-to-day work involves designing and building Java automation frameworks, automating backend and legacy systems, and validating data with strong SQL skills. The role operates within Agile and DevOps delivery models, with exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms considered advantageous.

What you’ll do

• Design and build Java automation frameworks
• Automate backend and legacy systems, including service interfaces and batch processes
• Perform backend and data validation using strong SQL skills
• Apply API-based testing using REST assured
• Work within Agile and DevOps delivery models
• Apply QA automation competencies including Selenium, TDD, and framework creation for testing
• Support risk management within QA/QE activities
• Use manual QA tools such as Qtest, QC, and JIRA

What you’ll bring

• 9-10 years of experience in SDET, Java automation, and a strong Software Automation Testing mindset
• Domain-specific experience in the Cards area
• Strong hands-on experience designing and building Java automation frameworks
• Strong coding in JAVA with adherence to coding standards and design principles
• Exposure to API-based framework using REST assured
• Experience automating backend and legacy systems, including service interfaces and batch processes
• Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models

Nice to have

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms
