About the role

Public Safety team protects life and property across Genesis HealthCare System facilities in Zanesville, Coshocton, and Somerset. The role patrols grounds, enforces safety policies, assists with patient registration, handles valuables, and documents incidents while providing courteous service to patients and visitors. On-site work at the three locations with varied shifts.

What you’ll do

Patrol facilities and grounds to prevent theft, vandalism, and fire
Enforce Ohio Revised Code in coordination with police and jurisdictional agencies
Assist patients and visitors with directions, registration, and valuables storage
Document security incidents and manage restraints of combative patients
Collect patient co-payments and provide financial education
Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and Genesis policies
Perform physical security duties including stair and roof patrols
Support patient access functions as needed

What you’ll bring

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Ohio driver’s license
Knowledge of security and law enforcement practices
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Experience with patient registration and insurance documentation
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Understanding of HIPAA confidentiality regulations
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 100 pounds
