About the role

EXL seeks an experienced GoLang & Python developer to architect, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and distributed systems. The role focuses on designing scalable microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and ensuring low-latency, high-throughput performance in cloud-native environments. Candidates will work with Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), integrate relational and NoSQL databases, and leverage message brokers like Kafka and RabbitMQ. Strong CI/CD pipeline development, secure coding practices, and proactive troubleshooting are essential. The position requires 4–8 years of hands-on development, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and a proven track record of delivering robust, scalable solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and continuous improvement of technology practices are key responsibilities.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, test, maintain backend services using GoLang & Python
  • Design scalable, high-availability microservices & APIs
  • Optimize application performance for low-latency, high-throughput
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirements & solutions
  • Implement secure coding practices & code reviews
  • Integrate databases, message queues, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Troubleshoot & resolve production issues, ensuring reliability
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, deployment workflows
  • Stay updated with emerging tech & recommend best practices

What you’ll bring

  • 4–8 yrs GoLang & Python dev experience
  • Microservices architecture & REST/gRPC API expertise
  • Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure cloud experience
  • Relational & NoSQL database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Kafka & RabbitMQ message broker familiarity
  • Concurrency, multithreading, performance optimization skills
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) experience
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent
