About the role
Q4 is an AI-driven investor relations (IR) operations platform serving over 2,600 public companies, providing a single powerful platform for IR teams to attract, manage, and understand investors. As a Data Collection Analyst in Eluru, India, you will support the collection, validation, analysis, and organization of financial and operational data from publicly available company information such as quarterly reports, annual reports, earnings releases, investor presentations, and regulatory filings. Day-to-day work includes extracting financial statements and business metrics, cleaning and validating data for accuracy and consistency, performing trend and variance analysis, and maintaining data quality standards. The role operates on rotating shifts (6AM–2PM or 2PM–10PM IST) and is based in Eluru, India.
What you’ll do
- Collect financial and operational information from company quarterly reports, annual reports, earnings releases, investor presentations, regulatory filings, and other publicly available sources
- Extract financial statement information including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, segment information, and key financial metrics
- Collect operational and business drivers such as volumes, production, sales, subscribers, customers, utilization, capacity, and store/network expansion
- Review notes to financial statements to identify additional financial, operational, and business information and capture company-specific disclosures, KPIs, and management commentary
- Review collected data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and logical integrity, and validate information against original company source documents
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, unusual movements, and inconsistencies in reported data, and standardize data formats, units, currencies, periods, and terminology where required
- Analyze historical financial and operational data to identify trends and significant movements, and perform basic calculations such as YoY, QoQ, growth rates, margins, ratios, and variance analysis
- Follow established data collection, validation, and quality-control procedures, participate in quality checks and peer reviews, and document data sources and assumptions where necessary
What you’ll bring
- B. Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification
- Fresh graduates with 0–1 years of experience are encouraged to apply
- Good understanding of Accounting and Finance concepts
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and understand financial statements and company reports
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify trends and inconsistencies in data
Nice to have
- Basic understanding of financial statements and financial reporting
- Familiarity with annual reports, quarterly results, investor presentations, or regulatory filings
- Strong research and information-gathering skills
- Comfortable working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to data quality
