About the role
Five9, a global leader in cloud contact center software, is expanding its engineering team in Bengaluru. We seek a Senior Software Engineer – Backend to design, develop, and scale microservices and APIs using .NET Core, while also building front‑end interfaces with React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. The role requires deep expertise in C#, RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes). Candidates should have strong experience with SQL Server, Snowflake, MongoDB, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Agile mindset, performance optimization, and collaborative problem‑solving are essential. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to shape next‑generation cloud‑native services for a worldwide customer base.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and enhance microservices, APIs, and backend services using .NET Core
- Build intuitive, efficient, and scalable front-end interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Optimize data access patterns and design schemas across SQL Server, Snowflake, and MongoDB
- Architect secure, high-quality cloud-ready software with performance and availability focus
- Work with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices
- Execute strong coding standards through code reviews, testing, and Agile delivery
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to deliver customer-centric outcomes
- Take ownership of services, proactively address issues, and continuously improve system performance
What you’ll bring
- 7+ years full-stack development experience
- Strong C#, .NET Core, RESTful API, microservices
- React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS
- SQL/NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Snowflake, MongoDB)
- Cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
- Debugging, performance optimization, problem-solving
- Agile/Scrum experience
Nice to have
- Experience with GraphQL, gRPC, or WebSockets
- Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, Identity Server
- Exposure to serverless architecture
- Background in automated testing (unit, integration)
