About the role
AWS Infrastructure Services Data Centre Engineering Operations team ensures the design, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. The role manages mechanical and electrical systems, handles incidents, changes, and vendor relationships, and provides hands‑on facility support in a 24x7 environment. Mumbai, MH, IND – on‑site, full‑time, relocation possible.
What you’ll do
- Own end‑to‑end management of data centre changes, events, incidents, and problems
- Plan and execute maintenance/repairs of electrical and mechanical systems
- Manage asset and inventory tracking
- Develop SOPs, emergency response procedures, and preventive maintenance programs
- Produce engineering reports and ensure SLA/KPI compliance
- Provide hands‑on support for equipment installation and decommissioning
- Oversee technical compliance audits and corrective actions
What you’ll bring
- 4+ years data centre or critical environment experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of electrical systems in critical data centres (substation feeds, UPS, PDUs, generators)
- Knowledge of mechanical systems in critical data centres (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, cooling towers)
