Accounting Associate

About the role

Accounting team at Graphite Financial Group provides comprehensive finance and accounting services to startups, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. The Accounting Associate will manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks such as AP/AR, bank reconciliations, payroll, month‑end close, and preparation of financial statements while supporting multiple client engagements. Remote work from India, full‑time, with equipment stipend and flexible EST shift timing.

What you’ll do

• Record bank and credit card transactions
• Process AP bills and AR invoices
• Handle payroll and intercompany entries
• Prepare month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close
• Develop financial statements and cash flow reports
• Support audit and tax filings
• Create management reporting packages
• Collaborate with clients to set up sales invoicing

What you’ll bring

• 3-7 years finance experience
• US GAAP or IFRS knowledge
• Accounting degree or CPA
• QuickBooks Online proficiency
• Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero or Bill.com
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of ASC 606 or IFRS 15
• Experience filing sales/use tax
