- Review engineering drawings and extract tag numbers, assign functional location–equipment hierarchy as per ISO 14224
- Complete asset register creation and assign equipment hierarchy and equipment technical attributes
- Prepare technical characteristics for equipment by reviewing vendor documents
- Identify gaps and observations in drawings and recommend changes
